Aferdita Saracini Kelmendi was born in Kosovo. She worked as a journalist in Radio Pristina during the 80s, and during the 90s she worked as a VOA reporter from Kosovo. In 1998 she started the first internet radio in a region called Radio 21 as they were working with the 21st century’s technology. After being deported and displaced during the war in 1999 she was invited to the US to report on the situation in the Senate and Congress. She had a meeting with a first lady at that time Hilary Clinton at the White House and she was reporting on the situation in Kosovo in most US media. Awarded with a Courage in Journalism (1999) in New York. She’s the owner of a media network in Kosovo called Media 21, which includes six TV channels and a Radio!
She produced news, entertainment TV programs, TV shows, documentaries, and short films. Her first feature film is “Era”.
